The Power of Collective Impact

Bringing an innovative approach to
Oak Park and River Forest

Collective impact is a framework to tackle deeply entrenched and complex social problems. It is a structured approach to making collaboration work across government, business, philanthropy, non-profit organizations and community members to achieve significant and lasting social change.

SAY uses the StriveTogether approach to collective impact. Our partners are asked to align and coordinate their priorities. This enables them to increase the impact of their services to children in our community -  from birth to age 22 years old. The SAY partnership addresses three areas of child development:

  • Social & Emotional

  • Health & Safety
  • Cognitive & Academic

The partnership has established measures as benchmarks for these areas which SAY and Roosevelt University's Policy Research Collaborative (PRC) will monitor for progress in order to drive future community efforts. SAY is a member of the StriveTogether Network.
